About this role
AI / Emerging Tech Security Analyst (AI Training)
About the Role
What if your security expertise could directly shape how the world's most advanced AI systems defend themselves against attack? We're looking for AI Security Analysts to stress-test frontier AI models — identifying vulnerabilities, evaluating adversarial scenarios, and helping ensure that cutting-edge AI systems are safe, robust, and resistant to misuse.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for security professionals who are curious about AI and want to work on problems that actually matter. If you understand how systems get exploited and you're fascinated by how modern AI models behave under pressure, this role was made for you.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Analyze realistic AI and LLM security scenarios to understand how models behave under adversarial or unexpected conditions
- Investigate prompt injection attacks, data leakage vectors, model abuse patterns, and system misuse cases
- Classify security vulnerabilities and evaluate appropriate mitigations based on real-world impact and likelihood
- Apply threat modeling frameworks to emerging AI technologies and novel attack surfaces
- Evaluate and improve AI system behavior to ensure it remains safe, reliable, and aligned with security best practices
- Work independently on task-based assignments at your own pace and schedule
Who You Are
- Background in cybersecurity, information security, or a closely related field
- Solid understanding of security threat modeling — and a genuine curiosity about how it applies to AI systems
- Familiar with how modern AI and LLM systems are built, deployed, and potentially exploited
- Analytical and precise — you think in edge cases and don't accept surface-level answers
- Detail-oriented and methodical when evaluating complex systems and potential failure modes
- Able to communicate technical findings clearly in written form
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with red teaming, penetration testing, or adversarial research
- Familiarity with prompt injection, jailbreaking techniques, or LLM-specific attack vectors
- Background in application security, API security, or cloud security
- Experience working with AI/ML pipelines or model evaluation workflows
- Prior involvement in responsible disclosure, bug bounties, or security research
Why Join Us
- Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside leading AI research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work
- Contribute to one of the most important and fast-moving problems in tech: keeping AI safe
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
A legitimate, well-funded platform (built by Labelbox) with strong rates for experts. The real catch is availability — per-approved-task pay and quiet stretches between projects.
