About the Role

What if your deep knowledge of Rust — memory safety, ownership semantics, concurrency — could directly shape how AI understands and generates systems-level code for developers worldwide?

We're looking for experienced Rust engineers to evaluate AI-generated code, stress-test its correctness, and help train the next generation of AI models to think like expert systems programmers. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for senior engineers who want to do meaningful work on their own schedule.

What You'll Do

• Review AI-generated Rust code for memory safety, ownership correctness, and idiomatic patterns
• Design challenging systems-level problems to probe the model's understanding of low-level constraints
• Evaluate concurrent programming logic and identify potential race conditions or undefined behavior in AI outputs
• Assess performance optimization strategies and flag inefficiencies in AI-generated solutions
• Ensure type-safety and scientific rigor across all code evaluation tasks
• Provide structured, expert-level feedback that directly improves how AI models reason about Rust and systems programming

Who You Are

• 5+ years of professional experience writing production-grade Rust
• Deep understanding of memory safety, ownership, borrowing, and lifetime semantics
• Strong background in systems programming — you think in terms of performance, safety, and correctness
• Experienced with concurrency patterns and comfortable spotting subtle race conditions
• Able to clearly articulate complex low-level concepts in written English
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field

Nice to Have

• Experience with distributed systems, embedded systems, or developer tooling
• Familiarity with unsafe Rust and the constraints around its correct use
• Background in compiler internals, OS development, or performance profiling
• Prior exposure to AI code evaluation or technical content review
