About this role

AI labs need business analysis checked by people who have sat in the room. A model can lay out a market-entry framework in seconds. Judging which assumption would sink the case, and what a client would actually do with the advice, takes someone who has done the work.

This listing is a waitlist, not an open position. No project is attached to your application. Applying puts you in the network we draw from when a business and consulting project opens. We ask for one thing: a short AI interview about your field, about 20 minutes, that you take once you have applied. We review applicants from time to time, check whether each profile fits the kind of projects we run, and reach out directly with the scope, hours and rate when there is a match. Timing depends on demand, so you may hear from us soon or only after a while, and we will not contact everyone on the list. You commit to nothing by applying.

Work varies by project. Depending on the project you might write business cases and client scenarios with worked answers, review other experts' work against a checklist, or grade AI answers on strategy, operations and financial reasoning. Hours, scope and rate are set per project and sent to you in writing before you start.

On a project you write realistic business tasks and the deliverable an experienced consultant or operator would produce, review other experts' work against an acceptance checklist, and evaluate AI answers for shaky assumptions, wrong numbers and recommendations a client could not act on. Reviewers check everything, and you are paid for approved work.

Key responsibilities

  • Write realistic business cases and client scenarios with the deliverable an experienced practitioner would produce
  • Review other experts' work against an acceptance checklist and explain what is wrong and why
  • Evaluate AI-generated analysis and recommendations for weak assumptions, wrong numbers and impractical advice
  • Document your reasoning so a colleague could follow it line by line
  • Apply reviewer feedback and revise until the work is accepted
  • Work from public or fictional companies only, with nothing confidential from an employer or client

Ideal qualifications

  • Professional experience in consulting, strategy, corporate development, operations or general management
  • Comfortable building and critiquing a business case with numbers
  • Able to explain a recommendation in plain written English

Requirements

  • Professional experience in consulting, strategy, operations or general management
  • Fluent written English
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet place to work
  • Willing to complete a short AI interview
  • Willing to work without AI assistance where the project does not allow it

Nice to have

  • Experience at a strategy consulting firm or in a corporate strategy team
  • An MBA or other graduate business degree
  • Industry depth in a sector such as healthcare, energy, retail or technology
  • Prior work on an AI training or data platform

What success looks like

  • You apply and complete the short AI interview
  • When a project matches your background we contact you with the scope, hours and rate
  • You decide whether to take it, with no obligation either way
  • Work you do is reviewed and you are paid for approved work.
