About the Role

We're looking for PhD-level chemists to evaluate, challenge, and improve AI systems — ensuring they reason about chemistry with the rigor and depth that the field demands.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed — just a deep command of chemistry and a sharp, critical mind.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop advanced chemistry questions spanning organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, and theoretical chemistry
• Review and critically evaluate AI-generated answers to research-level problems — identifying errors, gaps in reasoning, and areas for improvement
• Annotate and categorize complex chemistry content including specialized concepts, scientific diagrams, and experimental data
• Map relationships between chemical principles to help AI models grasp the true depth and structure of the field
• Curate comprehensive training datasets that reflect the full breadth and complexity of modern chemistry
• Provide detailed, constructive feedback that directly improves AI model performance

Who You Are

• You hold a PhD in chemistry or a closely related field, with demonstrated expertise in research, teaching, or advanced problem-solving
• You have experience developing or critically reviewing sophisticated scientific or technical content — such as research publications, graduate curricula, or complex laboratory protocols
• You excel at communicating advanced chemical concepts with clarity and precision
• You enjoy translating abstract theory into practical, well-structured analysis
• You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and thrive working independently

Nice to Have

• Experience with data labeling, RLHF, or other AI training or model evaluation workflows
• Background spanning multiple chemistry subfields
• Experience mentoring students or junior researchers in advanced chemistry topics
