About the Role

What if your deep expertise in chemistry could directly shape how AI reasons through some of the most complex scientific problems in the world? We're looking for Chemistry Experts with Masters or PhD-level training to develop, solve, and evaluate advanced chemistry problems that teach cutting-edge AI models how to think like a scientist.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers and scientists who want to do meaningful, intellectually stimulating work — on their own schedule.

What You'll Do

• Design and solve advanced chemistry problems with real-world scientific relevance across organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
• Review and evaluate AI-generated chemistry content for scientific accuracy, rigor, and depth
• Develop complex, multi-step problem statements that challenge AI reasoning at a graduate level
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to refine model outputs
• Ensure clarity, precision, and scientific integrity across all deliverables
• Work independently on task-based assignments at your own pace

Who You Are

• Holds a Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
• Deep expertise in one or more areas: organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
• Comfortable working with Python or computational chemistry tools such as Gaussian or VASP
• Exceptional written communicator — you can explain complex chemistry clearly and precisely
• Detail-oriented, rigorous, and self-motivated when working independently
• Fluent in English

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in data annotation, scientific evaluation, or quality assurance workflows
• Familiarity with AI tools or large language model evaluation
• Background in academic research, peer review, or scientific publishing
• Experience mentoring or teaching chemistry at the graduate level
