This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working chemists, researchers, and academics who want to apply their expertise in a high-impact, intellectually stimulating way. No AI background needed — just a command of advanced chemistry and a rigorous scientific mind.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop advanced chemistry problems across organic, inorganic, physical, or computational domains — with real-world scientific relevance
• Solve and review complex problem sets, ensuring scientific accuracy, depth, and clarity
• Apply domain expertise to craft nuanced problem statements that challenge and improve AI reasoning
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to refine model outputs
• Evaluate AI-generated chemistry content against rigorous scientific standards
• Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Holds a Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
• Deep expertise in one or more of the following: organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
• Comfortable working with Python or computational chemistry tools such as Gaussian or VASP
• Exceptionally detail-oriented with a systematic, rigorous approach to scientific problem-solving
• Strong written communicator who can articulate complex concepts clearly and precisely
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently without supervision

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data labeling, or AI evaluation workflows
• Background in academic research, scientific publishing, or curriculum development
• Familiarity with AI tools or large language models as an end user
• Experience designing problem sets, exams, or educational content in chemistry
