About the Role

Your eye for visual storytelling is worth more than you think. We're looking for cinematography professionals and advanced film students to help train cutting-edge AI models to understand how great cinema is constructed — shot by shot, scene by scene.

This is a fully remote, asynchronous contract role where your expertise in camera work, composition, and visual language directly shapes how AI perceives and describes film.

What You'll Do

• Watch film and video clips and analyze them through a trained cinematographic lens
• Identify precise scene boundaries and describe shot transitions with accuracy
• Break down camera movement, framing choices, blocking, pacing, and lighting
• Write structured, professional scene summaries and beat-by-beat analyses
• Apply cinematography principles consistently across a high volume of visual content
• Deliver annotations in standardized formats designed for AI training pipelines

Who You Are

Must-Have:

• Background in film production, directing, editing, cinematography, or formal film education
• Ability to describe scenes visually and technically — without leaning on dialogue as a crutch
• Strong structured writing skills with a keen eye for visual detail
• Comfortable reviewing and re-watching clips to ensure precision and accuracy

Nice to Have:

• Experience with script coverage, storyboarding, or pre-visualization workflows
• Understanding of narrative scene structure and visual storytelling fundamentals
• Familiarity with annotation or AI training tools
