About the Role
We're looking for experienced SQL developers to help evaluate and improve AI systems that generate and reason about database queries. Your expertise will directly influence how AI understands and writes SQL — making a real impact on the future of data-driven technology.

What You'll Do
- Evaluate AI-generated SQL queries for correctness, performance, and adherence to best practices
- Write and review complex SQL queries across a range of relational database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
- Identify and flag common errors in joins, filters, aggregations, subqueries, and schema assumptions
- Assess query performance considerations including indexing strategies and execution plans
- Provide clear, structured feedback with plain-English explanations of your reasoning
- Create challenging SQL problems and well-crafted solutions to help train and benchmark AI models
Who You Are
- Proficient in writing complex SQL queries — window functions, CTEs, subqueries, and beyond
- Solid understanding of relational database design, normalization, and indexing
- Experienced with one or more major database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle
- Strong analytical thinker who can clearly explain technical concepts in plain English
- Detail-oriented and consistent, with a high bar for accuracy
- Background in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience with query optimization and reading execution/query plans
- Familiarity with data modeling and schema design
- Previous work in data labeling, RLHF, or AI training projects
- Knowledge of NoSQL systems or data warehousing platforms
