We're looking for computer engineering experts to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Working with Alignerr — a trusted partner to the world's leading AI research labs — you'll use your deep technical knowledge to challenge, audit, and refine how AI systems reason about hardware, architecture, and embedded systems.

What You'll Do

• Design Complex Engineering Challenges — Create advanced problems spanning RISC-V/ARM architecture, FPGA development, memory management, and hardware-software co-design that push AI models to their limits
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop rigorous, step-by-step technical responses including assembly code, HDL snippets, and architectural diagrams that serve as the gold standard for AI training
• Audit AI-Generated Technical Content — Evaluate AI-produced code (C/C++, Verilog, VHDL), logic gate designs, and OS kernel implementations for correctness, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards
• Refine AI Reasoning — Identify flaws in AI logic — such as race conditions, memory leaks, or improper timing constraints — and provide structured feedback to sharpen model performance
• Stress-Test Model Knowledge — Probe AI systems across computer architecture, embedded systems and IoT, networking, distributed systems, hardware security, and systems software

Who You Are

• Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science (hardware focus), or a closely related field
• Strong foundational expertise in one or more of: Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Digital Logic Design, or Operating Systems
• Able to communicate complex hardware concepts and low-level software logic clearly in writing
• Precise and detail-oriented — comfortable working at the level of bit operations, clock-cycle timing, and technical documentation
• Self-motivated and reliable working independently and asynchronously
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
• Proficiency with engineering tools such as MATLAB, SolidWorks, or ANSYS
• Familiarity with hardware simulation or verification environments
