Finance Expert

AfterQuery works with leading AI labs to improve how their models handle real world finance. We are building a standing bench of Finance Experts who bring genuine practitioner judgment to that work.

This posting covers the full range of finance practice. We are interested in financial advisors, wealth managers and paraplanners; CPAs, tax managers, tax preparers and enrolled agents; retirement and estate planning specialists; corporate finance, FP&A and controllers; consumer banking, lending and credit professionals; and insurance and annuities specialists.

The work is creating and reviewing finance scenarios and workflows, the kind of problems you handle for clients every week. You might write out how you would build a client financial plan, prepare an individual return, restructure debt, or assess a retirement position, and then review how an AI model handles the same problem and mark where its reasoning breaks down.

Everything is remote and scheduled around you. There is no cap on volume. Task criteria and support are provided in the project chat once you are onboarded, so you are never guessing at the standard.

Responsibilities

• Write realistic finance scenarios and workflows drawn from your own practice
• Review AI generated responses for accuracy, sound reasoning and compliance with real world practice
• Flag subtle errors such as miscalculated figures, wrong assumptions or incorrect guidance

Required qualifications

• Four or more years of hands on professional experience in finance or accounting
• Completed bachelor's degree or higher
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Clear written English and the ability to explain your reasoning in writing
