A Day in the Life of an Online Data Analyst

In this role, you will conduct structured quality audits on spatial and mapping datasets. Your role is to verify, evaluate, and validate complex geographic and business information using advanced mapping tools and detailed reference materials.

• Conduct structured quality audits on spatial datasets using mapping platforms, search directories, and GIS-standard evaluation tools
• Evaluate and cross-reference complex business, geographic, and cultural data entries against multiple authoritative sources
• Perform root-cause analysis when spatial data points conflict across sources, documenting the discrepancy with precise reasoning
• Apply detailed evaluation frameworks with consistency and rigor across dozens of geographic, business, and cultural data variations
• Be open to work across a diverse set of Task Types (e.g. Maps, News, Audio tasks, Relevance)
• Provide structured feedback that helps refine mapping algorithms and improve geographic intelligence

How to qualify

Requirements:

• Professional fluency in English and Spanish (native or near-native proficiency required)
• Residency in USA for the last 5 consecutive years
• Being open to work across a diverse set of Task Types (e.g. Maps, News, Audio tasks, Relevance)
• Advanced analytical thinking and methodical problem-solving ability
• Deep regional, cultural, and geographic knowledge of USA
• Comfort with rigorous guideline interpretation and consistent framework application
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in analytical, technical, or research disciplines (strongly preferred)
• Stable internet connection and access to a personal computer

Service Rates

Compensation is based on tasks completed and project availability. Estimated earnings may vary depending on task volume and program requirements including, quality, and productivity, in accordance with the program's quality standards and guidelines.

Independent Contractor Relationship

This opportunity is offered on an independent contractor basis. Contributors have the flexibility to choose when and how much they work, subject to project availability and quality requirements. Do I require any specific software or are there any technical requirements for this role?

Candidates must have an email address in order to take the exam. The exam must be completed using Google Chrome Web Browser. You will be required to complete some tasks using a specific Smartphone (Android V4.2 or higher or iPhone running iOS version 14.0 or higher). A high speed internet connection is also required.

What is the qualification process?

You must pass an online qualification exam to be hired onto this role. Guidelines and eLearning material will be provided if deemed eligible for this role. Successful candidates must also complete an ID Verification process.

What is the volume of work?

How much and how often will I be paid?

The Online Data Analyst position is a part time, work from home, Independent Contractor role.This is a pay per task role and the monthly payment is based on successfully completed tasks. You will need to read and follow the guidelines, which is part of the paid task completion.The volume of tasks can fluctuate, and experienced analysts can increase their earnings with higher productivity. The specific rate for each task together with additional information about the individual task will be provided to you within a tool, when tasks become available if hired. A monthly invoice will be generated on your behalf and emailed to you for work completed on the program. Invoices are paid 30 business days from the last day of the billing period

What notice do I have to give if I do not want to continue with the role?

We would expect that you provide us with reasonable notice but you are not under any legal obligations to provide us with a specific notice period as you are working in an independent capacity.

What Language will I be working/rating in?

Proficient level of English and the specified language of the role you are hired for. If you are successful in the exam, you will be working in the language related to the role that you applied for. For example if you applied for the French role then you will be rating in French etc. You may also gain access to additional tasks in other areas such as English. Please note, the online exam will be in English and you should take the perspective of a user in the United States (US).

Do I need any special qualification or skills for this role?

The skill set for this role is not highly technical. You need to be familiar with browsing the internet, speak English, and the langauge of the role if specified, and have high speed/ broadband access to the internet. You also need to own a laptop/desktop and Smartphone (Android version 4.2 or higher or iPhone running iOS version 14.0 or higher). You will be required to pass an exam before you can complete any work. You will be required to become certified in some specific tasks when you join the program. This will enable you to get access to additional tasks.

Can family members also apply for the same role?

Only one member per household may apply for this role. If you successfully pass the exam your work on the program must be of an individual nature and completed in private. Sharing of material or answers is strictly prohibited either during the exam or whilst working on the program. Our Rating Quality team will be monitoring your work on a daily basis so it is important that your work is of a high quality and standard and of an individual nature. Please note you CANNOT use the same computer/IP Address as another user for this role, IP addresses are logged and recorded as we need to be able to identify work on an individual basis on the program. The use of VPNs, Proxy Servers, IP Unblockers, Hosting Services or any software that may route your Internet traffic outside of your country of residence is strictly prohibited throughout the application process, exam and when onboard this program. Intentional use of these services whilst working on the program will result in termination of your services agreement with the company and in non-payment for services provided to protect the integrity of our customer’s data.

Where should the work be completed?

Your work on this program must be of an individual nature and completed in private. You must work you must reside in the same country as the locale you were hired to support. If you are going to be out of the country please notify the team as your account might be flagged. Sharing materials or answers is strictly prohibited either during the exam or while working on the program. The use of multiple accounts and working with others in the same location or remotely are strictly prohibited to maintain the integrity of the data of our program. If you are found to be in breach of this term, it will result in the termination of your services agreement with the company and in non-payment for services provided
