About the Role

What if your deep knowledge of cloud security could directly protect the infrastructure that millions of people and businesses depend on every day? We're looking for a Principal Cloud Security Architect to evaluate large-scale cloud environments — hunting down architectural risks, IAM vulnerabilities, and security design gaps before they become real-world incidents.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for seasoned cloud security professionals who think in systems, communicate findings with clarity, and know what good architecture actually looks like.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP for security weaknesses and design gaps
• Review IAM configurations, privilege models, network segmentation, and resource policies
• Identify misconfigurations, over-privileged access patterns, and insecure architectural decisions
• Produce clear, structured documentation of architectural flaws with actionable mitigation guidance
• Validate cloud environments against established security frameworks and industry best practices
• Support recurring security assessments across evolving cloud environments and deployment patterns

What You Bring

Must-Have:

• Deep, hands-on experience in cloud security architecture across one or more major cloud platforms
• Strong command of IAM models, network design principles, and cloud service security controls
• Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, structured written assessments
• A systematic, thorough approach to identifying risk across large and complex environments

Nice to Have:

• Experience with multi-cloud security strategy or cross-platform architecture reviews
• Familiarity with zero-trust architecture principles and implementation patterns
• Background working in high-compliance environments (FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, etc.)
• Relevant certifications such as CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or CISSP
