About the Role
What if your deep knowledge of Rust — memory safety, concurrency, performance — could directly influence how the next generation of AI writes systems-level code?
We're looking for experienced Rust developers to work alongside leading AI research teams, evaluating and improving AI-generated Rust code, building high-performance tooling, and helping set the bar for what great systems programming looks like in the age of AI.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You bring the Rust expertise — we handle the rest.

What You'll Do
- Review and evaluate AI-generated Rust code for memory safety, concurrency correctness, and performance
- Design, build, and optimize high-performance systems that support AI evaluation workflows
- Develop backend services and tooling for large-scale data validation and quality control
- Identify bottlenecks, edge cases, and systemic weaknesses in AI-produced systems code — then document them clearly
- Provide structured, expert feedback that directly shapes how AI models understand and generate Rust
- Work independently and asynchronously — on your schedule
Who You Are
- 5+ years of professional experience writing production-grade Rust
- Deep understanding of memory safety, ownership, lifetimes, and concurrency primitives
- Strong background in systems programming and performance optimization
- Able to articulate complex low-level programming concepts clearly in writing
- Fluent in English
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field
Nice to Have
- Experience with distributed systems or developer tooling
- Familiarity with AI code generation tools or evaluation workflows
- Background in compiler development, embedded systems, or OS-level programming
