What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced material science problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related disciplines to design complex, accurate problem statements
- Evaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning for rigor, depth, and accuracy
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and other domain experts to enhance model performance
- Ensure scientific clarity, precision, and depth across all deliverables
- Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Material Science, or a closely related field, from a recognized university
- Strong expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent areas of materials research
- Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research or technical problem-solving
- Exceptionally detail-oriented — you catch errors others miss and hold your work to a high standard
- Clear, precise written communicator who can articulate complex scientific concepts with confidence
- Based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
Nice to Have
- Experience in data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
- Background in computational materials science, solid-state physics, or quantum chemistry
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as VASP, Quantum ESPRESSO, or LAMMPS
- Prior work in semiconductor device physics, thin-film deposition, or surface science
