This is a fully remote, asynchronous contract role. Work on your own schedule, take on as much or as little as fits your life, and make a direct impact on frontier AI — no commute, no meetings, no micromanagement.

What You'll Do

• Review and evaluate AI-generated backend code across languages like Python, Node.js, Java, and Go — assessing correctness, efficiency, scalability, and clarity
• Write high-quality backend solutions to server-side and API development problems spanning a range of difficulty levels
• Craft clear, developer-friendly explanations of architectural decisions, code logic, and problem-solving approaches
• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and failure modes in AI-generated code and problem statements
• Apply best practices in RESTful API design, database usage, asynchronous programming, and system architecture

Who You Are

• Strong backend engineering background with hands-on experience in server-side languages and frameworks — Python, Node.js, Java, Go, or similar
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), and asynchronous programming patterns
• Comfortable with architectural trade-offs and able to articulate decisions clearly in writing
• Sharp eye for bugs, edge cases, and code quality issues — you hold AI-generated code to the same standard you'd hold your own
• Strong written English communication skills — you can explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely

Nice to Have

• 3–5+ years working with backend frameworks or domains such as Express, Django, Spring Boot, microservices, or cloud platforms
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
• Experience with data labeling, RLHF, or AI training workflows
• Familiarity with distributed systems, message queues, or cloud infrastructure
