micro1 is engaging UI / Visual Designer experts to contribute to a writing-intensive design project for a customer. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.


Scope of Work


  1. Critically evaluate user interfaces, analyzing strengths and weaknesses in visual and interaction design.
  2. Craft structured, well-reasoned written rationales for design decisions, documenting your analysis and recommendations.
  3. Develop and articulate principles, patterns, and guidelines that underpin robust design systems.
  4. Review, refine, and document component libraries for clarity, consistency, and accessibility.
  5. Create clear, visually engaging mockups using Figma, applying best practices in color, typography, spacing, and responsive design.
  6. Produce comprehensive design documentation that communicates decisions and rationale to diverse audiences.
  7. Ensure accessibility standards and usability are addressed in both visual design and supporting documentation.



Preferred Qualifications


  1. At least 3 years of experience in UI, visual, or product design with a strong portfolio of digital work.
  2. Deep expertise in typography, color theory, visual hierarchy, layout, and responsive design.
  3. Demonstrated proficiency in Figma and experience working with design systems and component libraries.
  4. Experience documenting design systems or writing component guidelines with detailed, persuasive rationales.
  5. Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain complex design choices clearly and analytically.
  6. Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and their practical application in interface design.
  7. Background from leading universities or highly regarded organizations is valued; advanced English writing skills are essential.
