About the Role

What if your voice could directly shape how AI understands and communicates with millions of people? We're looking for professional voice actors and voice-over artists with an authentic South African English accent to take part in paid in-studio recording sessions for a leading AI speech research project.

This is a contract role for working voice professionals. Your recordings will help AI systems better understand natural, human speech — making technology more inclusive and accurate for South African English speakers worldwide.

• Recording Format: Solo and dual-speaker (dialogue-based) sessions

What You'll Do

• Record natural, conversational South African English speech in a professional studio environment
• Participate in single-speaker sessions and paired dialogue conversations
• Deliver realistic, unscripted-sounding speech across a range of tones and registers
• Follow light direction to vary pacing, tone, and delivery as needed
• Bring your authentic accent and natural voice — no performance artificiality required

Who You Are

• A professional voice actor or voice-over artist with real recording experience
• A native or near-native South African English speaker — your accent is the asset
• Comfortable performing natural, conversational speech (not just formal narration)
• Reliable, professional, and receptive to direction in a studio setting
• Currently based in South Africa
