About the Role

What if your voice could directly shape how AI understands and communicates with millions of people around the world? We're looking for professional voice actors and voice-over artists with authentic South African English accents to participate in paid studio recording sessions for a leading AI speech research project.

This is a short-term contract role with a straightforward commitment — a handful of professionally run studio sessions, competitive pay, and the opportunity to contribute to technology that genuinely matters. This project does not involve voice cloning.

• Commitment: 2–3 sessions of approximately 4 hours each

What You'll Do

• Record natural, conversational South African English speech in a professional studio environment
• Participate in solo recording sessions as well as dual-speaker dialogue conversations
• Deliver realistic, human-sounding speech that captures the natural rhythm of everyday conversation
• Take light direction on tone, pacing, and delivery style
• Bring your performance skills to make scripted dialogue sound natural and unscripted

Who You Are

• A professional voice actor or voice-over artist with hands-on recording experience
• A native or near-native South African English speaker — your accent is the real deal
• Fluent in English with strong conversational ability
• Currently based in South Africa
• Comfortable in a studio environment and receptive to direction
• Professional, reliable, and easy to work with

Nice to Have

• Background in acting, performance, or theatre
• Experience in broadcast, podcast, or commercial voice-over work
• Prior studio recording experience in a professional setting
